That week went fast!!!
This Modern Screen magazine has Joan Crawford on it. She had a LOOOOOONG career, starting in the late 1920s and continuing into the 1960s!! This cover doesn't have much else on it, just Crawford. Happy Saturday!!

Here is another Modern Screen magazine. This one has Madeleine Carroll on it. She was a movie actress in the 1930s. It says her name in really tiny handwriting. It's a little hard to read!! I wonder if you can read it. Comment if you can!! Happy Friday!!
I love her hair!! Since there aren't really any holidays happening right now, I'm kind of stuck on what I should do. Vote on this poll to show what you want me to do!!!! And, of course, vintage applies to all (except for the Readers' Choice).
Here is a Modern Screen magazine with Carole Lombard on it. She was in many movies, both full-length and short movies. I love old movies. Their timelessness and beauty is something that can't be done in modern movies. My favorite movie is Holiday Inn from the 1940s. I watched it last December. It was really good!! I highly recommend it. I've also seen Roman Holiday with Audrey Hepburn. I highly recommend that movie, too. Happy Year of the Goat!!!
Happy Thursday!! UPDATE: For those of you who were around yesterday, I said Marlene Dietrich was on the cover. But if you look closely, it says that the cover model is Carole Lombard!! I'm so sorry about the mistake! I'm really bored. That's why I've done three posts today. Anyways, here is a Modern Screen magazine cover with Shirley Temple on it. Isn't that dress fabulous?? And the hat is gorgeous!!! I love magazines....especially old ones. Hey, you know what they say, "If we don't learn the past we are doomed to repeat it." Well, let us all resolve to learn the past so we DON'T have to do it all over again!! Here is to an intense study of vintage!! (Sorry I'm kind of rambling here, like I said, I'm bored.) Oh, how I wish I could be in a movie!!!!
Hey, if you are bored, here is a game you could play. It's to played by yourself. You pretend to be a book character. Trust me, it's REALLY fun. Try it!! I saw this GIF and thought it was quite informative. Sadly, it looks as if Grace has not been popular..... Jennifer was rather popular in the 1970s!!
This GIF comes from http://all-that-is-interesting.com/most-popular-female-names-in-america I went to the library yesterday. I haven't been in months!! I checked out two books. I almost finished one. Here are photos of vintage libraries!! That girl looks a lot like me!!
Happy Wednesday!!! And for the fifth installment in our posting series!! Isn't that dress pattern so floral??? And the white trimming is a nice touch!! And I wish I had a wide-brimmed hat. In the summer I don't have a lot of shade because my hat dosen't have a brim. Those flowers and gloves are so pretty!! This issue from July 1945 cost only 15 cents!!!
Happy Monday!! This magazine cover has a 1910s-esque dress on it. It's NOT from the 1910s, though. And that hairstyle! It's so cool!!! I wonder how they made it. Can you believe it cost only 50 cents???? Yes, I want to vote at 18!!!
Happy Sunday!! Happy Valentine's Day!! I hope you are enjoying your day with your loved ones. And may I emphasize LOVED!!! I hope you are enjoying chocolate hearts as you read this. I am having a great day so far!! And if you are in Europe: enjoy the Cricket World Cup!!! I know absolutely nothing about it but I know it's going on!! Happy Heart Day!!!!! Enjoy these postcards!!!! Happy Saturday!!
