Here is a wonderful sketch of girls playing in the snow. I wish it was snowing here in NYC. Instead, it's monsooning. And it will all day. But the rain gives me a perfect excuse to blog all day!! Anyways, this sketch is from The Delineator's February 1908 issue. This image is from http://www.olddesignshop.com
I have a Google Drive!!! Click on the link below to download this sketch. Sorry I haven't posted since Wednesday. I have been suffering from a case of the flu. It's going away though. I'm feeling a LOT better today. So I have decided to post these vintage medicine advertisements. I hope you like them!!! I hope you are staying influenza-free this winter!!!
Happy Sunday!!! Isn't this magazine cover with planes awesome??? I mean, what could be bad about a magazine cover with planes on it?? And vintage fashion??? Those hats are awesome. And the dresses are even better. The hairstyles are also great. This issue is from March 1943. Love it!!!!!
Today my school went ice skating at Bryant Park. SO. MUCH. FUN. You should totally go this winter. I loved it!! I think I finally have the hang of skating. I had the best time EVER!!!!!! I love ice skating!!!
This The American Girl October 1931 issue depicts a Girl Scout doing the Girl Scout promise. I know because I was a Girl Scout once. Not anymore, though. They stopped doing the program at my school. I really wish they would start it up again because I liked it. It also says that it's Girl Scout Week on the bottom right hand corner of the magazine. ;-)
Happy Monday!!! Look at all those doves!!! I think they are supposed to symbolize peace, hence the world in the background. It's also the international issue. Aren't the doves very pretty??? I wish I had a dove!!! Happy Sunday!!!!!
Here are some vintage ballerinas. Exquisite, right??? I used to take ballet but I quit. Here are some ballerinas!!!! Happy Saturday!!!!!
How would I describe fashion in the 1980s?? One word: BRIGHT. Just search 1980s fashion on Google. You will see lots of color!!!!! Take a look/see: Would you wear a crop top?? I probably wouldn't!
COLOR!!!!!!!!!!!! School and extracurricular activities have kept me from posting. But now that I have scavenged out some time, here is a post!!! This Ladies' Promenade Toilette is an outfit I would LOVE to have. Isn't it so pretty?? This image is from http://www.olddesignshop.com
